Browse our extensive data on St. Augustine.
Situated on the Northeast coast of Florida, St. Augustine is one of the most culturally rich cities on our list. Being the oldest continuously occupied European established settlement in the US, the city offers a surprising amount of history and European feel. The year-round warm weather as well as the Floridian tax friendliness draws many retirees to the area, and they are kept there by the access to activities, rich history, and friendly sense of community. Although there are a few neighborhoods worth mentioning, keep in mind that they all have easy access to the beach! Villano Beach is one of the priciest areas of St. Augustine, with it's stellar beachfront location and short supply of housing. Traveling south, Crescent Beach is a similar situation, with amazing beach access, but a limited supply of housing on the thin strip of land. For those looking for a bit more bang for their buck, neighborhoods such as Elwood and Casa Cola are still close to the water, but at a much lower price point.
